Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport is located in the heart of Germany on the European traffic axis Ruhr to Berlin and is financed by the district communities and cities in the region.

Flight Operations
According to the provincial government's plans Paderborn-Lippstadt airport is intended to be the station for regional scheduled air traffic, occasional industrial air traffic, in particular for tourist air traffic and for company owned aircraft as well as the focus for general aviation.
These aims have been realized since the beginnings of tourist charter flights with large medium-haul aircraft in 1988.
Destination Network
Nonstop and feeder flights to Munich offer mobility to almost every destination in the world. Counting more than 38.000 flight movements and 1 million passengers each year Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport is well-established amongst European and International Airports.

Catchment Area
The Airport is situated in the heart of Germany between the two tows that gave it the Name Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport. Mainly used for outgoing traffic with passengers coming from a large area of up to 80 km in radius to the airport, predominantly from the nearby region of "Ostwestfalen" , the most eastern part of North-Rhine Westphalia. Others origin from counties like the lower Saxony, North Hesse, the Lippe- and the Waldecker Land, from Sauerland, the neighbouring Ruhrgebiet und the south of Münsterland.
Road Connections
Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport is located very close to the country´s major road network. Situated along the
motorways A33 and A 44 the excellent road links provide easy and very convenient access.
- The motorway A33 connects to the A30 in the North and the A44 in the South and thereby serves traffic running from Holland, via the North-West of Germany through to Saxony- Thuringia.
Exit: Autobahn A 33 (Bielefeld-Brilon), junction Salzkotten - The Motorway A44 runs from the Belgium boarder near Aachen to Kassel.
Exit: Autobahn A 44 (Dortmund-Kassel), junction Büren.
